Turning pain into beauty

Our history

I am Zandra Mar and this is a small piece of my story.

Bella Magnolia was born from the pain she experienced from my father's departure during the pandemic in 2022, like thousands of sad stories in that difficult season. An unexpected loss far from my family and my country Colombia, in another beautiful country that has welcomed thousands of immigrants, where I came to be with my husband, a citizen and veteran of this country.

With the pain of remembering dad and his last hug on the day of my trip, promising to see us again soon, without imagining that I would see him for the last time through the cold screen of my cell phone shortly before his death, I felt overwhelmed and puzzled. The pain was not long in coming, despite knowing that God is always good and learning to rest on his promises. It seemed inevitable to experience so much sadness when meditating day after day on the way in which all that situation that ended in the absence of dad developed until I wanted to suffocate. I knew then that I had to trust once again in God's good and perfect will, treasure the sweet memories I have of Dad, and focus on exploring a new way of expression through my passion... art and design.

I then looked for a small piece of clay that I had kept for a while and simply began to visualize and mold my first jewel, created from pain. Subsequently, I met other people on the web who already worked on this art model, with which I later felt inspired and motivated to continue with another and another piece, without stopping to the point of shaping the history of Bella Magnolia Design, as a new encounter between art and strength against pain.

What began as a distraction to force myself to fight against the difficult emotions that I experienced at the time, became a new expression of art for me and a brand that takes its name from the beauty and the name of mom, the woman who continues filling the hearts of my beautiful family with love. And I am sure that a great source of inspiration for millions of people in the world is that indelible mark that a mother draws in the heart of those who are fortunate enough to have her.

Today, Bella Magnolia longs to accompany the beauty of all the women who emerge, filling the world with that incredible mixture of delicacy and strength. Each piece is thought of a trait, a personality, an emotion, a moment, a life... an additional touch of grace to the women who continue to inspire the world.
